Shada Palace was built in the 1930s by order of Prince Abdulaziz bin Ibrahim Al-Breidi, and served as the headquarters of the Asir region for a period of time. Shada Palace is located in Al-Maftaha neighborhood in Abha, just minutes from the city center. Visiting hours are from Saturday to Thursday, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Admission is free for all. It is recommended to visit the palace during the summer when Abha’s weather is moderate, or in the spring to see the city in its finest attire.
