In the Al-Baha region, one of the most beautiful areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, lies Al-Baha Valley, one of the most prominent valleys that adorn this stunning mountainous region. Al-Baha, known as the “Bride of the Summer Resorts” or the “Garden of Hejaz,” cradles more than 53 forests and hundreds of green valleys, with Al-Baha Valley standing at the forefront as a distinguished natural tourist destination.
Location of Al-Baha Valley
Al-Baha Valley extends in the Asir Al-Sarawat region, at an altitude ranging between 1,700 and 2,200 meters above sea level. The valley is characterized by its strategic location that connects the towering Al-Sarawat mountains on one side and the Tihamah plains on the other, giving it a unique natural scenery that combines dense greenery and diverse terrain.
Stunning Nature
What sets Al-Baha Valley apart from other valleys is its dense vegetation cover that adorns its banks. Juniper, sidr, and talh trees spread along the sides of the valley, along with aromatic plants such as basil and rosemary that emit distinctive scents, especially in spring. The valley is surrounded by a chain of granite mountains that form a dramatic and wonderful backdrop for nature and photography enthusiasts.
Seasonal rains flow into the valley, forming small streams that enhance the beauty of the place and attract visitors seeking cool weather and tranquil natural scenery away from the hustle and bustle of cities.
