This service allows residents of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to apply for a visit visa for their first-degree relatives (parents, spouse, children) for short-term visits.
1. What is the service?
A first-degree relative visit visa is a temporary entry visa issued to residents of Saudi Arabia to enable their close relatives to visit the Kingdom for a specified period (typically up to 90 days for a single-entry visa, and it can be extended or issued as a multiple-entry visa as needed).
2. Conditions and Requirements
- The applicant must be a legal resident of the Kingdom and hold a valid residency permit (Iqama).
- The first-degree family relationship must be documented (e.g., birth certificate for a parent, marriage certificate for a spouse, birth certificate for children).
- The visitor’s passport must be valid for at least six months from the expected date of entry.
- There must be no legal impediments preventing the issuance of the visa (such as security cases or travel bans).
- Payment of the prescribed visa fees.
3. Detailed Steps (Step-by-Step)
- Log in to the Absher platform (website or app) using your username and password.
- Select the Services menu, then Visas.
- Click on Apply for a First-Degree Relative Visit Visa.
- Fill out the application form:
• Applicant details (name, Iqama number, passport number).
• Visitor details (full name, passport number, date of birth, nationality).
• Specify the family relationship and attach supporting documents (a copy of the proof document). - Upload the required documents:
• A clear copy of the visitor’s passport.
• A recent personal photo of the visitor (white background).
• Proof of family relationship (birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.).
• A copy of the applicant’s valid Iqama. - Review the data and ensure its accuracy.
- Pay the visa fees via the SADAD system or a credit card available on the platform.
- Submit the application and keep the reference number.
- Track the application status via Absher; approval is usually issued within 1–3 business days.
- Upon approval, you will receive a notification via Absher or email containing an electronic copy of the visa.
- Print the visa and attach it to the visitor’s passport for travel to the Kingdom.
- Upon arrival at the port of entry, the visitor presents the visa and passport to obtain the entry stamp.
