With the commencement of Hajj rituals this year, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah emphasized the mandatory carrying of the Nusuk (Nusuk) card for all pilgrims. The card is considered the sole official document to prove the pilgrim’s identity in the holy sites, and any pilgrim who does not carry it may face difficulties in traveling and accessing services.
Why is the Nusuk card mandatory?
The Nusuk card is not just a piece of paper – it is a smart identification card that contains all the pilgrim’s information: name, nationality, permit number, place of residence in Mina and Arafat, and information about the campaign or group.
The ministry confirmed that the card helps organize pilgrim movement, prevents violators from entering the holy sites, and ensures that every pilgrim has an official permit. This year, with the adoption of 15 smart systems for Hajj management, the role of the card has become more important than ever.
How to obtain the card?
Obtaining a Nusuk card is very easy. All you need to do is:
- Download the Nusuk app from the app store
- Log in with your account or create a new account
- From the Hajj menu, select “Nusuk Card”
- Display the card on your phone or print a paper copy

⚠️ Important Tips Before Hajj
🔴 The Nusuk card is your official identity in the holy sites. Without it, you cannot travel between Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.
🔴 Keep a backup copy. Take a screenshot of the card and save it in your photo album, print a paper copy and keep it in your wallet. If your phone is lost or its battery dies, you have an alternative.
🔴 Do not share your card information with anyone. It contains your personal data and Hajj permit, which should not be shared on social media.
