The Citizen Account (حساب المواطن) is one of the largest social support programs in Saudi Arabia — paying monthly to millions of Saudi families. But many people don’t know the exact conditions that determine who qualifies and who doesn’t. This guide explains everything clearly.
Basic Eligibility Requirements
1. Saudi Citizenship
You must be a Saudi citizen and a permanent resident inside the Kingdom. The program does not include non-Saudi residents.
2. Residency Inside the Kingdom
You must be physically residing inside Saudi Arabia. Those living permanently abroad are not eligible for support.
3. Age
You must be at least 18 years old.
4. Monthly Income
Your total household monthly income must not exceed the support ceiling. Government and private sector employees must not exceed 20,000 SAR per month.
5. Bank Account
You must have a Saudi bank account in your name to receive the support directly.
6. Data Accuracy
All the information you provide must match official government records.
Who Gets Excluded?
- Those with permanent residency in another country
- Those whose income exceeds the ceiling
- Those with assets and property exceeding the allowed limit
- Those who don’t update their data when changes occur
- Those who don’t respond to field visit contacts
Important Note — Social Security Income
The program has clarified that developed social security (الضمان الاجتماعي المطور) income is not counted as income in the Citizen Account calculation, and does not affect your support amount.

If it shows “Not Eligible,” you can submit an objection within 90 days of the result with supporting documents.
When Is the Support Paid?
The Citizen Account is disbursed on the 10th of each Gregorian month. If the 10th falls on a weekend, it’s moved to the 9th or postponed to the 11th.
Next payment: April 9, 2026 (Payment 101).
Tips to Keep Your Support Active
- Update your data immediately after any change in income, dependents, or marital status
- Make sure the electricity bill is in your name if you live independently
- Don’t ignore field visit calls — not answering could stop your support
- Check your eligibility result a few days before the payment date
