Car Ownership Transfer Conditions

  • Both parties must have an active Absher account
  • The vehicle must be registered in the seller’s name with a valid registration card (Istimara)
  • The vehicle must have valid insurance in the buyer’s name
  • No unpaid traffic violations on the vehicle
  • If the car is older than 3 years, a valid periodic inspection certificate is required
  • The vehicle price must be between 500 SAR and 1,000,000 SAR
  • Residents can own a maximum of 2 private cars

  1. Log in to Absher (the seller) via absher.sa or the app
  2. Select “Vehicle Services” from the menu
  3. Choose “Transfer Vehicle Ownership” (Bai’ah)
  4. Select the vehicle from your vehicle list
  5. Enter the buyer’s national ID or iqama number
  6. Verify the information and confirm the process
  7. Pay the fees via Mada or SADAD
  8. Ownership is transferred instantly after payment confirmation
