In a strategic move aimed at enhancing the path of economic growth, the Saudi Public Investment Fund announced the launch of its five-year strategy for the period from 2026 to 2030. This strategy comes to form a new phase of economic transformation in the Kingdom, with a precise focus on maximizing investment value and ensuring spending efficiency within the ambitious Vision 2030.

Investment Priorities: Focus on Vital Sectors

The Fund’s new strategy focuses on enhancing local investments by developing six vital economic systems, led by the tourism and travel, entertainment, urban development, in addition to advanced industries, logistics services, and clean energy. The Fund aims, through this approach, to create high-quality job opportunities and develop the capabilities of the non-oil economy, ensuring long-term growth sustainability.

Infrastructure Development: A Realistic and Practical Vision

The new strategy includes a more realistic approach to implementing major projects, where the Fund directs its investment focus towards projects with direct economic returns. Reports indicate an increase in investment in the “Oxagon” industrial zone in the Red Sea, which has become a strategic center for attracting technology and artificial intelligence companies, reflecting the Kingdom’s keenness to build a developed industrial and technological base that supports the digital economy and provides an attractive business environment for both foreign and local investments.

This shift towards sustainable value and operational efficiency highlights the flexibility of the Saudi economy and its ability to adapt to global changes, while continuing to advance the implementation of programs to diversify income sources, enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a leading global investment destination.
