Donald Duck takes his first steps
On June 9, 1934, the Walt Disney company presented for the first time its short film “The Wise Little Hen” (La Petite Poule sage) in the Silly Symphonies series. This film was not ordinary, as it saw the first appearance on cinema screens of the character of the temperamental duck.
The duck, who was named Donald Duck or Donald (as he is known in the Arab world), was designed by the cartoonist Walt Disney and drawn by Art Babbit. The idea was simple: a duck with a hoarse voice and a changing temperament, wearing a white and blue sailor shirt with a red tie.
