With the dawn of Monday, 8 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, corresponding to May 25, 2026, pilgrims to the House of Allah began to flock to the Mina gathering point to spend the Day of Tarwiyah, in a majestic scene that embodies the unity of the Islamic nation.
More than 1.5 million pilgrims from outside
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the completion of field and operational preparations to escort the guests of the Most Merciful to the Mina gathering point, where more than 1.5 million pilgrims from outside have arrived, in addition to domestic pilgrims. More than 24,000 buses have been operated, equipped according to a tight traffic and organizational plan to ensure the smooth movement of pilgrims.
Smart plans and modern technologies
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah revealed that it has trained more than 30,000 human cadres to operate digital solutions and manage field operations, in addition to qualifying 600 crowning members and 5,000 group leaders to use digital systems. The crowning plans rely on analyzing instant data to organize crowd movement and reduce congestion in the holy sites.
Facing high temperatures
Given expectations that temperatures in Mina will reach 45 degrees Celsius, the Kingdom has prepared smart plans to mitigate the atmosphere in the camps and provide comfort for the pilgrims, while intensifying medical and emergency teams at all sites.
