The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced today, Wednesday, an urgent support package for the sisterly Republic of Yemen worth $150 million in oil derivatives, to operate power generation stations in several Yemeni governorates.
Details of the Support
The aid will be provided through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and under the supervision of Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.
The relevant authorities explained that the fuel supplies will help sustain electricity generation by supporting power stations that operate on diesel and fuel oil, thereby contributing to alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and improving essential services.
